Leah ran away from Drew in the grocery store today. Passed a few aisles, the meat department and through the doors to the back room in the receiving area where I was. She knows her way around the store but running from Mommy or Daddy is strictly against the rules of course.
So today she is not allowed to watch cartoons. She is coloring/drawing while eating strawberries right now.
This is going to be a LONG day. It's insane that doling out such a punishment is as much a punishment for the mom! You never realize that when you're a kid, eh?
She keeps saying to herself, "I can't watch cartoons. I ran away from Daddy." So at least she gets the point.
Ah well! I wish I could nap. I'm so sleepy today!
PS She started in her room last night and then woke up and started bawling and yelling for me. Drew had turn out the light that serves as her night light currently and she woke up in pitch black dark. I wanted to beat him up. So she came to be with us after that. Drew snored an insane amount and Leah was all over the place.
It's amazing how quickly I could get used to her sleeping her room! LOL
Drew's gone tonight & if she sleeps in there... perhaps I could get a solid night's sleep. That would be lovely.

I remember once when Chandler ran away from Matt at Wal-mart a few years ago, and thank goodness for twin outfits, I had to describe him to the lady and couldn't remember what he was wearing, so I looked and Owen was wearing the same thing, and I said, "He's wearing this, the same as his brother". he was in the toy aisle from the clothing section. It was scary and at Wal-mart when they call a code Adam, they don't shut and lock the doors for 15 minutes. If the child isn't found in 15 minutes then the doors will be shut. I don't quite understand that part, that child could be long gone if kidnapped within 15 minutes.
Anyway, Hayden used to sleep in his bed, and now he has started wandering through the house in the middle of the night to sleep with me, and it is getting crazy! He also likes to sleep all over the place, mostly sideways with his legs in my ribs. SO I understand not getting good sleep. I am used to sleeping alone. Good luck, if you find something that works let me know! Try to have a good day. Love,
Amy
